Kiaora, Welcome to our B&B, Owhiro Bay Wellington
Rock Art Museum
The rock artist, Carl Gifford has displayed a lot of his arts on Happy Valley Rd, where is just 5 minutes walk from Nature's Touch Guest House. His arts were picked up on major newspaper in New Zealand, The Dominion Post and Herald. He says " Feel free to look around the arts, but it is on the process, so don't touch." Those arts are lit up in the night, which shows the different image of the arts than seeing them in the daylight. For more information, http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/HL0505/S00344.htm. WALKWAY *If you would like to stretch your legs, there is a walk way near by. It takes about 5 minutes walk to the entrance and another 7 ~ 10 minutes walk to the lookout. You will see great views of the Southern Suburbs along the coast, scenic reserve and The South Isalnd. How to get there: Turn right outside our drive way, go to Robertson St on the left (up hill), then the first street, turn sharp right onto Severn Street. About 130m on the left, you will see a sign "Southern Walk Way". Alternatively you can get there by walking along the coast to the left on The Esplanade, then the first street, turn sharp left onto Severn Street. It is about 300m on the right hand side of the road. For more Walk Ways, See Wellington Information Folder in your lounge.
