Our warm welcome from your hosts, Natsuko & Maarten Groeneveld with our friendly dog, Lucky. We love Owhiro Bay where you can enjoy rural feelings and the nature whilst enjoying the city activities.

Natsuko is originally from Tokyo, Japan, Maarten is from Holland, after a brief stint in the Netherlands, we are now well established here in Owhiro Bay.

Maarten is a qualified carpenter, that's why his skills and lots of ideas can't  allow him to sit back and put the feet up. Now he has got another project for our house and he's been kept working on it.

Natsuko, a qualified chef, When I saw a piece of pamphlet about B&B in a Wellington city circular bus, back to 2004, I thought instantly “This is it!”. As my strong interest was the hospitality/tourism industry, it was natural choice for me. And I have decided it was the time for a change and wanted the opportunity to utilize my organizational and people skills more effectively. Now I enjoy meeting with a lot of people from all over the world.                             My another passion is to make nice food but healthy. My home made whole meal breads and muesli are popular amongst our guests.

 Our dog, Lucky, is  a cross of corgi and fox terrier. She is popular amongst our guests. Her passion in life is to sleep, swim in the sea and bury driftwood. Her ambition is to fly.
